Flair, The Inspo Folder
What is inspiration? Flair investigates what inspires us to design. But we also want to know how to question traditional learning and cultural context in design schools.
Flair uses the Conditional Design Manifesto to show that the product is the process, and the input is the real material we use to design. This input should come from our external and complex environment: nature, society, and human interactions.
In the Rumore ISIA U space, Flair exhibits an archive of materials made available by a range of young designers who answered a series of questions on inspiration and shared their reference material with us. Within the exhibition, the visitor is called upon to be more than just a spectator, but also a protagonist as they gather a collection of these materials by interacting within a video game. This game becomes a research medium detached from classical learning and takes the user to a new dimension, that of the unexpected.
